It was West Indian captain Jason Holder at one end who supported the team to file up to a good score of 321 for the loss of 8 in 50 overs.
Though the Bangla bowlers tried so hard but could not control the West Indian batsmen. Mohammad Saifuddin and Mustafiqur Rahman took 3 wickets each while Shakib Al Hasan picked 2 while the captain Mortaza who went so economical led from the front.
Second Innings :
Bangladesh in reply tried to chase the target of 321 as Tamim Iqbal the leading run scorer in ODIs of the Bangladesh team took up a fifty partnership with Soumya Sarkar. After Sowmya Sarkar who got dismissed for 29 off 23 balls which includes 2 sixes and 2 boundaries. Then came the unexpected knock by Shakib Al Hasan who scored the match-winning knock which crowned his 1st ever WC hundred. The experienced wicket-keeper batsman Musiqur Rahim made a disappointing performance by 1 off 5 balls. It was Linton Das who completely supported his senior Shakib. The 4th wicket pair put up a match-winning partnership of 189 runs. Linton Das missed 2nd ODI century in just 6 runs as the target was too easy to chase. Linton was unbeaten in 94 runs off 69 balls which includes 8 boundaries and 4 sixes. Shakib in his unbeaten knock of 124 includes 16 boundaries. The West Indian bowler did not support their team as they went expensive. Thus Bangladesh won by 7 wickets with 51 balls to spare.

Records: This is Bangladesh highest run chase 322 which equals their previous record against Scotland.
This is the 2nd highest run chase by any team in World Cup history next to Ireland chase if 329 back in 2011.
