The match 22 of the ICC Men’s World Cup 2019 was started between India and Pakistan on Sunday, June 16th, 2019 at Old Trafford Cricket Ground, Manchester, England.
The toss won by the Pakistan skipper Sarfaraz Ahmed and he decided to field 1st. Sarfaraz took that decision as the pitch looked quite wet which would favour the bowlers to dominate but, there happened the twist. Let us see what all happened in both the 1st and 2nd innings of the match.

By this 57 KL Rahul registered his 3rd ODI fifty and maiden fifty in WC. Then came the the ICC world no.1 batsman the captain Virat Kohli walked in the middle.
Rohit who smashed his 2nd century this WC 2019 and 24th in ODI was scoring runs in no time and who tried to convert big runs dismissed himself by choosing a poor shot gave in the hands of Wahab Riaz who was in the short final leg. The 2nd wicket partnership went for 98 runs who just missed 2 runs for century partnership. Virat was accompanied by the hard hitting bastman Hardik Pandya who supported the skipper for the fifty runs partnership 51 in 33 balls as he went on for 26 off 19 deliveries which includes 2 fours and 1 six. Then came the MS Dhoni the crowd was in their full sound as the sound went with a win drop silence when Dhoni departed for 1 off 2 balls. As MSD tried to hit a massive against Mohammad Amir caught behind Pakistan’s skipper Sarfraz Ahmed. After the departure of the Indian skipper Virat Kohli who himself moved away from the crease before the umpire was in doubting stage. As Virat registered his 51st ODI fifty by 77 runs off 65 deliveries which includes 7 magnificent strikes. Then came the WC debutant Vijay Shankar who contributed 15 off 15 with 1 boundaries along with Kedhar Jedhav an the other hand who was not out at 9 off 8 which includes a boundary. The Pakistan bowlers though Hsan Ali and Wahab Riaz picked up 1 wicket each but, Mohammad Amir who was so exceptional who picked 3 wickets for just 47 runs I his 10 over spell. Thus team India registered 336 runs for the 5 wicket in the full 50 over.
Second Innings :
When Pakistan batsmen were ready to chase the target it was Imam-Ul-Haq who just went for 7 runs as Vijay Shankar borked the partnership in the very first ball he bowled. Vijay Shankar had to come for Bhuvneshwar Kumar got injured while bowling. Then came Babar Azam along with Fakhar Zaman on the other end. The 2nd wicket partnership went for 104 runs. As Babar Azam was departed at 48 in 57 balls with 3 fours and 1 six included. Then it was Fakhar Zaman who was dismissed after his 11th ODI fifty for 62 which includes 7 classic boundaries and a six. After the top orders wickets it was the Pakistan middle order who came in and went from the middle in no time. Mohammad Hafeez for 9, the captain Sarfaraz for just 12 and the 20 years experienced went for a golden duck. Then Imam Wasim and Shadab Khan who took 2 wickers was not out for 46 off 29 and 20 off 14 balls respectively. As the match has reduced to 40 overs due to the impact of rain the Indian bowlers also did their part where the World Cup debutant, Hardik Pandya and by the spinner Kuldeep Yadav picked 2 wickets each.
