It was rare that Joe Root went early for 21 off 29 as it was predicted a high-scoring match. After the dismissal of the limelight Joe Root who was bowled by the Bangladesh medium-pacer Mohammad Saifuddin then came another lime-light for team England who is none other than Jos Butler. Butler who made worthy 64 off 44 with 2 boundaries and 4 sixes helped the England batting line-up to elevate a mammoth target. Almost all the English batsmen contributed a little score from the bat, as Captain Eoin Morgan scored 35 off 33 with 1 boundary and 2 sixes, all-rounder Chris Woakes made a small 18 off 8 with 2 sixes and finally by the experienced Liam Plunkett who made a handy knock of 27 in 9 balls with 4 fours and a massive in the end to set a huge total. This is the 1st time in cricket history the ball hitting the stumps and went cross the boundary rope without any pitch in the ground. The 143 km speedball by Jofra Archer was aw-struck. Tamim who got help by his no.3 batsman Shakib Al Hasan departed in 19 runs off 29 balls at 63 for 2 in 11.3 overs. Then came the wicket-keeper batsman Mustafiqur Rahim who supported his friend Shakib Al Hasan for 106 runs partnership for the 3rd wicket. Shakib Al Hasan who fail to contribute with the white ball in his 10 overs contributed an outstanding knock of 121 runs in 119 balls which includes 12 fours and a six. The 32-year-old vast experienced Shakib who played his 201st match registered his 8th ODI hundred. The 31-year-old well experienced Mustafiqur Rahim went for 44 off 50 by punching 2 boundaries was only last hope. As the other Bangladesh middle order batsmen Mohammad Mithun for a duck, Mahmudullah for 28 off 41 balls and by Mosaddek Hossain for 26 off 16 deliveries which includes 4 fours who, disappointed Shakib Al Hasan’s positive chase and also in the Team’s batting line-up. The young newcomer from Barbados the 24-year-old Jofra Archer bowled an exceptional spell who picket 3 wickets along with Ben Stokes who fail to contribute in the bat also picked 3 important wickets most importantly Shakib’s wicket. Apart from these 2, it was Mark Wood who picked 2, Liam Plunkett and the spinner Adil Rashid who picket 1 wicket each. Thus Bangladesh could only score 280 by losing all the 10 wickets in 48.5 overs.
